This is a snapshot that Living Etc. had way back and is from my inspiration journal. The bottom one I nabbed from Garrendenny Lane, also via Living Etc. Both of them: perfect color palette, wonderful soaking tubs. I have pink on my mind today because our dishwasher blew out. It came with the house and was a terrible appliance from day 1, despite it being new and everyone's favorite (smirk) stainless.
A search for pink dishwashers yielded the Smeg which I'd have to order from the UK (and OMG, I would be shot...say it arrived and didn't fit) or the Big Chill one which is really just a Smeg knock off and is very Rachael Ray. I wish the USA were more creative in its appliance style. I'm thinking it would be so neat to have a dishwasher with an acrylic panel that is open at the bottom, where you could slide different wallpapers in at whim, which means I'm no further than when the motor went kapow last night. There goes the chainsaw I was for for hoping for my birthday. Ah well, if it's out there, I will find it! (The pink dishwasher, that is.) I'm thinking a Kitchen Aid with hidden controls and a custom panel that is painted in a nice glossy pink might be the answer. One that happens to come with a garbage disposal! Santa?!?!
Hello, Elmira Stove Works has a retro appliance line called North Star and they have dishwasher panels that comes in pink. They are a Canadian company but they may ship to the US. I have the dishwasher panel on my kitchen aid dishwasher (hidden controls) and it is great. I live in Canada so I had no problem ordering it. I hope you find something you love.
