Hey everybody, Kim here from desire to inspire. You might be wondering what I’m doing posting on Casapinka. Well, if you must know, I just found out that Pink has been suffering from designofridamifidus, a rare disorder where a person becomes so obsessed with decorating and anything associated with Frida that they have heart palpitations and difficulties breathing. No really, she did get in contact with me recently and gave me the scoop on her disappearance from blogland. She misses everyone terribly and wanted me to explain why she hasn’t been able to blog.

We’ve all heard Pink’s stories about the terrible work environment at the hospital where she was a doctor. It just became unbearable for her and stressed her out to the max. So for her sanity she had to quit – and quick. In order to find other work in a stable environment she’s moving out of state working locums out of town and thankfully onto greener pastures. Her life is pretty much total chaos right now and she has limited access to the internet. She wanted to make sure I mentioned how she’s dying to get back to blogging and how much you all mean to her. She should be back posting around the second week of December. She’s hoping that we will all have faith in her, and hang in there while she gets her life back in order. Let me be the first to say that if she’s worried we’ll forget about her, she can add INSANE along with her symptoms of stress and depression. Because she is one of the most amazing people I’ve gotten to know since starting blogging and I have all the faith in the world that she’ll come back in December better and stronger than ever with even more hilarious kid stories, crazy (and inspiring) design ideas and scary Frida art finds. Correct me if I’m wrong, but blogland hasn’t been the same without her. So December better get here soon because we love you and need you back Pink!!!!
I couldn’t write up this post without including some photos, since Jo and I are photo fanatics on our blog (thanks Jo for helping me gather these). The following photos are a tribute to our dear friend, blogger extraordinaire, Pink.
I’ve got to start off with one word – Frida. Pink has a thing for artwork of famous women, and Frida is I think her favourite. I never could understand this, as the woman terrifies me, so Pink loved to send me photos of new (and scarier) Frida art she had found. (Nightmares ensued).
In my search for a Frida photo, I came across this fabric and thought Pink would totally get a kick out of it. It would have fit right in (to my horror) with her Hemingway room.
Then there was Jackie O. At least she didn’t have a unibrow.
Neither did Amelie.
She loves Venetian mirrors….but then again, don’t we all? She had a beautiful display of them in her hallway. Sort of looked like this, but better.
I had posted this photo one day for her, because it just screams Pink. Venetian mirrors and bold vibrant colours, including pink.
The following photos were contributed by Jo. Rooms of pink. Rooms of Pink.
I am so glad to hear Pink is ok and will be back blogging soon. hang in there Pink, and XXOO. I love your blogs!! I have been checking back regularly and was getting worried. Take Care.

I also have been checking the blog stressing about what could be wrong. I'm glad to hear all is good. Our life was also in chaos during the summer and it's amazing how swiftly everything settles down once all is in order. We couldn't be more content and happy at this moment, I'm sure Pink will feel the same soon.

Phew. So glad you are OK. Hope you are reading these comments. I thought I must have unsettled you on your visit her and felt somehow responsible. I have been in contact with Amy at Design DNA and at least found out you were OK. Good luck with your new life - it will all come out OK in the end - honest!
Email me if you want to chat.
