I'm working on a new sweater design, which I hope to have in both cardigan and pullover versions. I started with the design below, done in Wandering Wool, a lovely, lofty merino that I found at Stitches East. (My phone is there to hold down the curling end.) When I got home I realized it needed some off white in it so Joelle quickly sent me a skein. I also realized that it needed cherries rather than flowers. This is the test swatch I did (and redid...and redid once again before being satisfied with it.) If you are intersted in test knitting, please send me a link to your Ravelry finished objects and a yarn you might like to use. It's a DK - 5.5 st/inch on size 6. Top down and seamless for this one.
I'm about 2/3 of the way down the front. Luckily, I was at the knit, knit, knit stage last night when Juniorette was at her basketball game. I didn't want to miss a second of the game but knitting takes so much time. The result - two plonks in the head with a stray basketball! If you don't slip some knitting in when sitting at a red light or at a basketball game, you might never finish. Sound familiar, anyone? Oh, winners will be announced tomorrow or the HAND KNIT Sweater giveaway!
