Great is the day when an unused, absolutely massive, hand crocheted afghan (albeit out of neon acrylic - woo hoo!) presents itself to your person in a Salvation Army. Odorless but not colorless and only $14!Your experience in line is like the Filene's Basement wedding dress sales of yore but you grasp it tightly, making it clear who saw it first.
Who better than you knows how much work went into it? It seems unused, perhaps a neon gift to an unappreciative relative, relegated to a long forgotten trunk? A simple wash on gentle renders it good as gold for the knitting room although the kids put it on the inflatable bed that is currently still up from when the in-laws were here. All the better for watching Woody Woodpecker reruns. And know this whoever made it, wherever you are: It's definitely appreciated here at Casapinka!
