I'm nearing the end of a quick knitted dress (short sleeves, large needles) but I just need something bright and happy for the front of it. Yesterday found me filling in squares with colored pens while Junior did homework next to me in the knitting room. I nice bright rose for a gray dress seems seasonally effective, doesn't it?
It's also fun to look at the table or bed after a design marathon, just to see what's left in inspiration's wake. Last night I continued my pen markings in bed while watching the Christmas Scooby Doo dvd with the kiddos. Today I got some of the rose done. Between the bed and the coffee table in the knitting room are all sorts of suggestions to how this dress might work out. You never know, though. I might frog the whole thing in exchange for puffed sleeves and a pink quail on the front.
