I had my college reunion this past week and I snapped the colorful packing preparation, as a proper design blogger does. I know everyone just wants to see my packing methods! Anyway, when Target had that Liberty of London promotion Juniorette and I got the dresses on the left. We wore them when to the class picnic on Saturday when they came up for a few hours. I'm sure this will stop in a few years when I become the devil incarnate but for now it's lovely to feel like a role model. I wonder if she'll also go to the bathroom on boring dates so she can knit?
At the reunion I was pleasantly surprised how many of my classmates were Casapinka readers. While at dinner one night someone asked how the house decor was going. I said, "Well, it's been slow. There's been this stalker and it's really put a damper on things." Two or three people then said to me, "You never wrote about a stalker on your website." I was taken aback, always surprised when people I know follow Casapinka and I don't realize it. One of them (whom I barely know) said, "Oh yeah - when you wrote about that Target and Liberty collaboration I bolted out the door to my nearest store!" Man, talk about feeling influential.
Regarding the stalker, I usually try to concentrate on fun things at Casapinka, fleas notwithstanding. The stalker didn't seem to deserve air time here. After peeping in our window and many other invasive behaviors I became a prisoner in my house, though, unsure if he was targeting my kids or just me. It all happened so gradually that I didn't realize how anxious I had become and home decor and knitting design fell to the bottom of the list. Thankfully, it seems we've put a stop to it but it's a sad way to begin life in a new home. Anyway, my point is please don't get bored - I promise you some fun and crazy design soon. My pink and red wallpaper has arrived, as has my furry beanbag, so soon I shall be up and running again in full Annoy Husband mode.
Jay-zus! does the fun never end? i thought all of the bad juju would stay at the old house.

I LOVE the matching Holyoke shirts! Oh, and I'm so not surprised that you have Casapinka followers from college days...it's awesome, and so are you.

Such great pictures!! Your mentioning a stalker is hard to focus on as the pictures are so lovely and encouraging -mother daughter, sunlight, color, new home! Good luck with those boundaries. Perhaps you could ask the local catholic school students who the saint of boundary preservation is?
