The Idgran welcome mat from Ikea is very cute but in my opinion just needs to be taken to the next level. I was looking for a holiday welcome mat and the Santas and cutesy holly leaves just didn't do it for me.
The mat comes with an indented heart in it. All you need to do is fill it in with fabric paint of your choice. I used neon pink, naturally. It was also approved by Juniorette (and Husband likes it, too!)
And let's face it, a girl needs a mat to match her favorite holiday shoes.

Oh no I am just catching up on my reading and was so sorry to hear your news about the fire. You are doing really well. I hope you can salvage most things. Unfortunately I cannot bring supplies because
a. I do not know where you live and
b. i live in England
but i can send you my very best wishes through the ether

Oh, be still my heart! This is just the perfect idea for the mat. Now the heart really pops out. Now I am on a new mission, to find some nice fabric paint.
Warm greetings from windy Malahide, Jeannette

Don't you guys have an Ikea down the M50? Not sure where to get fabric paint. I went the wrong way around a roundabout in Malahide once. My roommate Dara was from Malahide, too!
