I really enjoyed looking around photographer Julia Hoersch's website this morning and if you would like some beautiful color inspiration I suggest a visit to it. It feels like a Sunday morning today.
There is a light breeze, the sun is out, and the kiddles are still tired from hours of swimming in a friend's pool yesterday, followed by falafel and corn on the cob (we are a strange family.)
The back to school shoes are purchased, as are the uniform shirts and backpacks. Just the tartan dresses to go and a couple of haircuts.
I'm very excited that my shawl pattern which was presented at Unwind's Yartaster's event caused her to sell out of Malabrigo Twist (and reach for substitute yarn!) so I'll have a bunch of test knitters at work on it. Already a mistake has been found, so apologies to those of you whose time was wasted on it but I appreciate the help! Also, a knitting magazine solicited another design from me yesterday so I feel quite happy on the knitting front. All of this good news after a week of a bad Lyme flare where I was rarely able to knit, so I'm incredibly happy to be back in the knitting game again.
More swimming for the chappies today and a promise to myself to block out Junior's owl vest so I can see if it fits him with a shirt underneath. Then, hopefully a dinner of omelettes with eggs and tomatoes from a nearby farm. A lovely and creative Thursday to all of you, wherever you may be.
