Juniorette and I did, indeed, have a wonderful stay at our bed and breakfast. The owner gave her run of the place - 3 large storeys - and she banged on the piano, ate many, many chocolate chip cookies and drank tea at the sprawling dining room table.
She explored the grounds (taking this photo of the back yard), skateboarded to her heart's content, and the innkeeper kept an eye on her while I ventured out to find us dinner. There were beautiful fresh flowers in our room and - which she just couldn't believe - we had our own fridge.
She decided she wanted to stay in bed, watch tv while eating dinner (let's hear it for no competition from Junior to put on Samurai Warriors.) We shared an absolutely enormous bath where she discovered that the Molton Brown (Yes! They had MB bath products for us!) shower gel made huge bubbles when the jets were turned on.
She wore her provided white robe rather like Heff might at the PB mansion, casually as though she was used to this sort of thing. We had such a grand time, waking at 4:45 to watch the wedding, eating chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs (and more cookies which she had sequestered in my purse, always a nice morning surprise, especially when the crumbs are found stuck to the lip gloss.)
She was that tired/grumpy combo for a lot of the day, which results from lack of sleep and too much sugar, but we still managed some time at the beach searching for shells and extra time away from Junior - just enough so she picked him up under the armpits and hugged him on sight.
This is her dream backyard. Rain and all - I let her play to her heart's content because when you have a 25m jacuzzi tub in your room it doesn't matter how cold and rainsoaked you get!
