Here's Junior doing the drawing - and the winner of the capelet is Barbara - just email me at Casapinka2 (at) yahoo.com with your full name and address and I'll get the capelet to you! Today most of the schools here in Rhode Island are cancelled due to the massive flooding we've been experiencing. My kids keep begging me to let them swim in the basement, and while it does sound like a childhood dream of mine, logical minds have prevailed. If you can imagine that this photo below is pretty indicative of how my children like to interact with each other, then you understand why I'm sighing a bit that they are home for Good Friday this week as well.
Junior loves to get Juniorette screaming (so don't for one minute think that being put upside-down in a plastic car was unprevoked, or unenjoyed by Junior, for that matter) by giving her favorite lion a wedgie, and this requires me to break it up, every nine minutes. The last time this happened (five minutes ago) she retaliated by wedgie-ing him in his tiny Handy Manny underwear (a move called a "Grundy Pull" when I was living in New Zealand in 1988.) It's all done with great laughter and merriment but can't you guys just mediate or something for five minutes? Creative and spirited they are, and I love this about them, but I need a couple of weeks to recuperate in between Stay Home days. Sometimes I watch this show in the wee hours of the night and wonder what would happen if there was a massive wedgy war during their home schooling recess and I breathe a big sigh of contentment. Sunshine, please come out - allow my kids some fresh air and room to run (sounds like I'm describing the needs of an Irish Setter, doesn't it?)
