Taking a short break from cupcakes, I thought you might like to see the blanket I made for Juniorette. It's sad that so many crocheted patterns are diabolically ugly because they certainly don't have to be! You could hear cries from the masses when I added in grey but I think the outcome was worth the dissent (not to mention a real sign of restraint on my part.)
This is lovely and not at all gaudy (gaudiness is my issue with most crochet blankets). The four stripe edge is ever so pretty.

I love the grey! I think it helps balance it all out in a strange squinty-eyed sideways glance kind of way. It looks so comfy-cozy!

I love it! Wish I could crochet like that. Your photos of yarn always get me thinking...I used to crochet in high school. Maybe I should start again.
