Pink Bathroom

My little bathroom is coming along slowly but surely. I found a wire rack to hold my bathtime reading materials.
I painted a gold frame white and put a Nathalie Lete postcard inside it.
I tucked another postcard of hers into the medicine chest mirror. If anyone has any creative ideas for this boring medicine chest I would love to hear them.
I was also thinking of hanging up this bird collage I did a few months back.
this is such a happy bathroom! i love it!!!!

Love the bird collage!
As for the boring mirror, could you put a frame around it?
My mom is actually doing this to a boring mirror in her house right now -- she's just screwing the frame right into the wall around a pre-existing mirror.

Kelly, it's a medicine chest, unfortunately. Ren Therapy - THANKS for the link, going there right now! Thanks to all for the compliments on the bird collage. It was a lot of fun to do.

You can fake-etch the mirror with some stencils and special paint. I bet a bird design would be great.
Also, how did you paint the frame? It looks a zillion times better in white, than I'm sure it did in gold... I have old frames I'd like to do the same to, but I'm not sure how.

That collage is really great, Pink! You have talent!

Thanks so much for the compliments on my collage, you guys. To tell you the truth I thought it was sort of lame - I'll rethink it!

As an avowed hater of bird imagery, I must say - I love your bird collage! Really cute. I'd love to see it hanging in your sweet bathroom.

Renata, thanks for the etching idea. Just slap some ol' primer on top of the old frame - that's all I did. Peggy, I can't believe this is turning into a bird-filled bathroom. Wait til you see the plates I hung! Thanks, though.

I LOVE the bird collage! I may copy have to copy you. At a friends recently they had painted a frame directly onto their mirror. You could use the pink from the tub.
Just wondering... where have your cuckoo clocks ended up in the new home?

Karyn, I REALLY wanted to paint a little cuckoo and hang it in the bathroom but it's in a box in storage, I fear : (
The yellow one from Urban cracked in half in the move.

Pink - I just reread my comment and, sorry, it came across too harsh. I don't really mean hate. I was actually trying to be funny, which sometimes doesn't come across as well as I'd like.
Anyway, your collage really is cute.

As for the mirror -I picked up some translucent & patterned tape that is modeled after a frame. So anything you tape up looks like it is in a frame -I think it would be a neat idea for the medicine cabinet. I picked it up in Amsterdam (at Droon?) but I think some of the mod NYC websites carry it too -if you're interested I'll see if I can find a link.
