Etsy is a dangerous place for me late at night. I bought this original painting by yummihouse last night for $45! The colors, along with the pink sky and brown hair (like mine) just got me. Merry Christmas to me and to you!
Yay - our intenet is up! Do you remember this couch/fatboy chair set? Well, guess what? Pink put her foot down, made husband cram the fatboy chair into his dinky office and covered the couch with THIS (see below!!!) Husband, not given a choice, had a surprisingly favorable reaction to this Urban Outfitters purchase. At first I thought it was a bit dorm room to cover the couch but I think it looks great.
Real photos to follow as soon as I find the cord for the camera. New email address to follow as well.
First of all, thank you ALL for your sweet comments and well wishes. It's such a wonderful feeling to come back to such support.
Today, in the middle of a blizzard, we drove up to this house and my daughter squealed, "It's PINK MOMEEEEE!!!" and truly it is kind of pink (in an apricot sort of way.) Well, how could I resist that positive feedback? We rented it - the front belongs to landlords who bake bread weekly so this should be interesting.
It's definitely whiter than I'm used to but thank goodness it's not beige!
Look at this gorgeous wallpaper which I found here. Some ideas are brewing...
The kitchen has loads of potential, don't you think? I'm still having trouble with my email so have patience if I don't answer right away - I'm back, though - really!
Husband, of course does not agree that doors like these are the sine qua non of a fine abode. "But where will my study be?" he nearly whines. "Study the pink doors!" I helpfully respond. Typical marital strife.
I thought I'd share this place with you as well. Happy color for New England winter and I love the dangling stars and spiked disco ball. Husband, naturalamente, has alternative opinions.
The second floor of this victorian is also for rent. It looks lovely save for beige walls. I just don't know about beige walls. I can't even type "beige walls" without shuddering.
We should make it up North on Saturday - oh yeah, big storm coming - should the National Lampoon Loser Family (refer to Dora bed stuck to ass at Pink Mohair) expect any different? We are currently cozied up in Roanoke, Virginia, where I hope the manager isn't a CP fan because we will be busted in short order for sneaking in Scarlett (cat) in a Coleman cooler (true.) We put the litter tray in a drawer so they wouldn't find any litter on the ground. I'm sure I looked dead guilty which is why the manager asked me for a credit card imprint.
Hello everyone, it is so GOOD to be back although the posts will remain sporadic for the moment. Thanks to all of you for your support. I am going to be taking off the next seven hundred several months and working on important pursuits such as making yarn animals, felting diaper covers and shoveling snow. We are starting our cross-country trip tomorrow (or the next day) and here is one possible rental. Although it is yellow, there is much potential and I don't want to be narrow minded about things.
Not overly keen on the Autumn gold colored walls but that kind of daylight in the middle of winter is like meth (or so I'm told.)
You know, it's not just my girlfriends that are disgusted by internet personals. The SOLE photograph advertising this apartment (not the yellow house) was like when my friend got a response to her ad that said "I have hair." Well, shit...most people have hair somewhere (some more than others, agreed) but really, most apartments have floors. I suspect mauve wallpaper border at chair rail height. Yeah.
The kitchen in this apartment, however, has so much potential I am heaving with emotion. I would love to get my hands on her.
I'm so damned glad to be back - Air kisses to all!
